Sounds Like a Melody je pesma zapadnonemačkog pop sastava Alphaville, s njihovog prvog albuma „Forever young“. Singl je izdat 14. maja 1984. godine.
Prvobitno, Alphaville je planirao da izda „Forever Young“ kao svoj drugi singl, kako bi pratio uspeh „Big in Japan“. Međutim, rukovodioci diskografskog studija zatražili su da Alphaville objavi dodatnu pesmu između dva singla, i kao rezultat toga „Sounds Like a Melody“ je napisana i aranžirana za samo dva dana. O tom iskustvu, pevač Marian Gold kaže da je „cela ova afera delovala kao uvreda za naše naivne hipi instinkte. Pisanje muzike isključivo zarad komercijalnog uspeha izgledalo je kao rasprodaja naših virtuelnih uverenja. S druge strane, zar ovo nije otvorilo mogućnosti za divne igre za igranje u hrabrom novom svetu pop muzike?“
Ovaj korporativni pritisak je doveo do toga da bend ne voli pesmu i oni su odbijali da je sviraju uživo više od 10 godina.
Sastav Tap 011 je napravio kopiju ove pesme 1998. godine, pod imenom „Sto dana u mesecu“.
